AFM of Zimbabwe’s US$1 Million Mufaro Auditorium Campaign Hits 3% Within Hours of Online Crowdfunding Launch

HARARE – The Apostolic Faith Mission of Zimbabwe (AFM of Zimbabwe) has recorded an encouraging start to its US$1 million fundraising campaign for the completion of the Mufaro National Conference Centre Main Auditorium, with the online crowdfunding initiative reaching 3% of its target within hours of launch.

The fundraising campaign comes ahead of the National Ladies Department Fundraising Dinner, scheduled for Saturday, 25 July 2026, at Rainbow Towers Hotel in Harare.

The dinner, spearheaded by the National Ladies Department under the leadership of National Chairlady Mrs M. Chiangwa, seeks to mobilise US$1 million towards the continued construction of the landmark auditorium.

The Mufaro National Conference Centre is a vision championed by AFM of Zimbabwe President, Reverend Dr C. Chiangwa, following the acquisition of a farm in Masvingo to establish a permanent national conference centre for the church.

The venue hosted its first major gathering during the historic Mother of All Conference, which was attended by the then AFM International President, Reverend Dr George Mahlobo. At the time, the site had no permanent buildings. Four years later, the once empty landscape has been transformed into an impressive auditorium that continues to rise through the faithful giving and commitment of church members and partners.

In a move aimed at making participation easier for supporters around the world, Zimbabwean fintech company Clicknpay has partnered with AFM of Zimbabwe by providing its digital ticketing and crowdfunding platform for the fundraising campaign.

The platform enables supporters from Zimbabwe and the diaspora to contribute securely using multiple international and local payment methods while allowing donors to monitor the fundraising progress in real time.

The immediate response has been positive, with the campaign reaching 3% of its US$1 million goal within only a few hours of going live.
Church members, friends of the ministry, corporate organisations, and well wishers are being encouraged to become part of the historic project by making a contribution, regardless of the amount.

The Mufaro National Conference Centre is expected to become one of Zimbabwe’s premier Christian conference venues, providing a permanent home for national conferences, leadership gatherings, ministry training, youth programmes, and other large scale church events for generations to come.
